It is with great joy that we announce the 4th Annual Clergy Wives Weekend at An tiochian Village. To be held the weekend of November 9-11\, this event is held in memory of Kh. Joanne Abdalah. She served as an inspiration as the wife of a priest and as a counselor to many. She understood the joys and trials of this life\, and the need for finding strength in Christ and each other. She believed that every clergy wife needs to discover and develop her own Christian vocation. In her memory\, her family and several clergy wife friends have established this Weekend since 2009 as a fitting tribute and way to carry on her work and commitment to clergy wives. This session will focus on practical ways to acquire a calm\, joyful spirit. This will include monastic wisdom about understan ding what goes into creating inner peace and recognizing ways we unconscio usly work against ourselves. We will also look at various teachings of the Church which can sound contradictory and be confusing\, such as St. Paul teaching both that the flesh is to be crucified and that the body is the t emple of the Holy Spirit.
