 </a></p>\n<p>On the Tuesday following the first Saturday of every month\, 
 we get together in a smaller group to serve breakfast to the homeless at t
 he Neighborhood Service Organization.</p>\n<p>We are a community of Orthod
 ox Christians from all over the Detroit area committed to serving Christ t
 hrough service to the needy in our city (Mt 25.14).</p>\n<p>Our goals are 
 simply to love God and love others (Mt 22.37-40). Recognizing the image of
  God in every person (Gn 1.27)\, we will always strive to serve with humil
 ty\, compassion\, patience\, and above all\, love (1Co 13).</p>\n<div>\n<p
 >Our purpose is to extend the Church beyond the confines of the parish and
  bring it into the local community. We will do this by bringing Detroit-ar
 ea Orthodox Christians together to perform the work to which Christ called
  his Church: to feed the hungry and clothe the naked\, to look after the s
 ick and visit the incarcerated\, to welcome the stranger\, to give everyth
 ing we have for the benefit of those in need.</p>\n</div>\n<p>For more inf
