 ike every year\, the purpose of this conference is to unite Greek Orthodox
  Church Musicians from throughout the region and beyond for the purpose of
  educating\, inspiring\, and promoting the beautiful and holy musical trad
 ition of the Orthodox Church.  This year in particular\, the conference wi
 ll bring together local and regional professional church<br />\nmusicians 
 who will offer seminars on how to read music by sight\, how to properly pr
 epare for singing on Sunday morning\, as well as a discussion on translati
 ng hymns\, the theology behind some of our main hymns\, understanding how 
 the Byzantine melodies often complement the words of the hymns\, and more.
