The Minneapolis Deanery recently announced the schedule for Lenten Vesper Services to be sponsored by the Minnesota Eastern Orthodox Christian Clergy Association on Sunday evenings during Great Lent.

The Chicago Deanery recently released its schedule of Sunday evening Lenten Vesper Services, all of which will begin at 6:00 p.m. Brief homilies focusing on the “Psalms of Ascent” chanted at the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts will be offered weekly. After each service, the faithful are invited to partake of a light lenten supper and fellowship.

The Council of Orthodox Christian Churches of Metropolitan Detroit (COCC) is sponsoring its annual series of Vespers services held on the five Sundays of Orthodox Great Lent. All services, conducted by members of the Clergy Brotherhood of St. John Chrysostom of Metropolitan Detroit, will begin at 6 p.m. and will be followed by refreshments. An inter-Orthodox chorus will sing the responses.
The remaining two services in the series will be held on:
§ March 26, Sunday of St. John Climacus, at Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 20500 Anglin St., Detroit; and § April 2, Sunday of St. Mary of Egypt, at Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church, 36075 W. Seven Mile Road, Livonia.
Members of the public are invited to attend the services. A free-will offering collection will be taken at each service, the proceeds of which will go to help fund the ministries of the COCC.

Hosted by the Weirton Orthodox Christian Fellowship, FOCA Chapter #58. The Tournament will be a Tristate affair. Almost Heaven West Virginia is where you will find your accommodations at the Holiday Inn, Weirton; and the Divine Services will be held at St. Nicholas Church in Weirton, West Virginia. The games will be played across the Ohio River at Steubenville Big Red High School. Finally, the banquet and dance will be held across the border at the Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse in Pennsylvania.
