Dr. Aristotle Papanikolaou, will be delivering a two-part lecture series called “The Ethics of Theosis.” On April 8th, Dr. Papanikolaou’s first lecture will be “Orthodox Liberalism: The Politics of Divine-Human Communion,” and will be held at Dennison Refectory — Church, Divinity School of the Pacific at the Graduate Theological Union. 2451 Ridge Rd., Berkeley CA 94709  Reception to Follow

On April 9th, he will speak on “The Ascetics of War: The Undoing and Redoing of Virtue.” The lecture will be held at: Valley Life Sciences Building, Room 2060, University of California, Berkeley

Dr. Aristotle Papanikolaou is a professor of theology and co-founding director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center at Fordham University. He is the author and co-editor of a number of books, including Being With God: Trinity, Apophaticism, and Divine-Human Communion (Notre Dame Press, 2006) and The Mystical as Political: Democracy and Non-Radical Orthodoxy(Notre Dame Press, 2012).
