Highly regarded author and Eastern Orthodox theologian, David Bentley Hart will be at Biola University. He will be giving a major address on the Incarnation on Friday evening. There will be an all-day symposium on violence and peace in contemporary culture featuring David Bentley Hart and three others. The symposium will conclude with a powerful piano concert with Orthodox pianist, Paul Barnes. He will be doing a west coast performance of composer, Father Ivan Moody’s “Nocturne of Light” which is based on the hymns of Holy Saturday.

Our presenters will unpack the most constructive models for understanding portrayals of violence and peace, the way these portrayals have functioned, and how they have affected individuals and communities in our culture.
