For those of you interested in lending a hand, please mark your calendars with the following events:

Sack Lunch-making sessions: 
We gather on the first Saturday of every month at 10am to put together 100 sack lunches to be taken to the Detroit Rescue Mission, and around 130 breakfast sandwiches to be served at the Neighborhood Service Organization.

Breakfast Service at the NSO:

On the Tuesday following the first Saturday of every month, we get together in a smaller group to serve breakfast to the homeless at the Neighborhood Service Organization, located at 3430 3rd Street, Detroit, MI 48201.

Fall Work Day
Orthodox Detroit Outreach, in partnership with Greening of Detroit, the Detroit Hunger Alliance, and Sts Peter and Paul Church, will be hosting a Fall Work Day to prepare our community garden for winter. Tasks will include: building compost bins, planting garlic and vetch, laying down straw on garden areas, etc.
