Orthodox Youth and Young Adult Ministries Announces Major Program Milestones
Orthodox Youth and Young Adult Ministries (OYM) held its semiannual board meeting on Friday, May 8, 2026, at St. Elijah Antiochian Orthodox Christian Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The day began with a Divine Liturgy celebrated in the St. George Chapel at St. Elijah’s before transitioning to a full day with Board Members and Staff.
Key Announcements
OYM unveiled the Godparent Project, a professionally produced 37-minute video resource developed in partnership with Andrew and Stephan Robinson, creators of Patristix. Designed to explain the sacred responsibilities of godparenting, the resource will be distributed to clergy and parishes nationwide through WhatsYourMinistry.org, OYM’s national digital hub for Orthodox ministry resources. The site has already surpassed 5,000 visitors in its first month of operation.
OYM’s Removing the Veil ministry course is now in its second cohort. OYM projects 75 to 100 participants by year’s end, who will directly impact 750 to 1,000 lives through immediate relationships and communities.
Finally, the OYM board and staff expressed their sincere appreciation to Sandra Glisic, OYM’s outgoing Director of Operations, for her five years of outstanding service to the organization, wishing her well in her new role at the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago.

Part-Time Regional Fundraiser

This role focuses on venue logistics, donor cultivation, and community outreach within the Chicago area to maximize attendance and hit financial targets. By blending project management with relationship building, the Coordinator ensures a seamless event experience that inspires regional support and strengthens the organization’s funding base.
Marketing Coordinator
The Marketing Coordinator manages the organization’s digital presence by creating compelling content, overseeing social media, and executing strategic outreach campaigns. This role blends creative storytelling with technical management to drive community engagement, support fundraising, and amplify the organization’s mission across all platforms.
In–Home Care Program Manager
As an In-Home Care Program Manager, you will work as part of a team to ensure smooth operation of hourly, non-medical services provided by caregivers to seniors in their homes through Hellenic Foundation’s In-Home Senior Care Program. You will participate in scheduling and managing caregivers and clients, staff meetings, provide reports as needed to the Executive Director and work with the In-Home Care Team to represent the Hellenic Foundation to the community.
Development Officer
The Development Officer for OCMC is a results-driven professional responsible for expanding the organization’s donor base and securing the financial resources necessary for global missionary work. This role focuses on identifying, cultivating, and stewarding relationships with major donors, parishes, and foundations to inspire long-term philanthropic support. By blending strategic fundraising with a deep passion for Orthodox missions, the Officer ensures the sustainable growth of OCMC’s international ministries and outreach efforts.
