    December 2018

Cherished Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

With deep love and gratitude to God for the past year, I write to you now as we begin to enter the heart of the Nativity season and the New Year! Thank you for your friendship, prayers and support that have been sustaining our efforts to this day!

From our very beginning, Saint Catherine’s Vision (SCV) has been striving to spiritually encourage and educate women and men who have been endeavoring to follow Christ. We have been building relationships and consulting with groups of persons interested in the various ways women (and men) participate within the life of the Church.

With this in mind, I wish to update you on two important developments (CLICK HERE for full letter):a

    • We are delighted to announce that we have submitted for publication our collaboratively written book Encountering Women of Faith, Volume III. As the Lord blesses, we anticipate its release early in the New Year.
    • We are pleased to announce we are electronically re-circulating as an educational “diakonia”, Orthodox Women Speak: Discerning the ‘Signs of the Times‘. This book offers a penetrating introduction to vital themes related to the participation of women in the life of the Church. In celebration of its 20th year publication anniversary, the book is now available on the SCV website. With much joy, we encourage you to tell others about this unique, cost-free educational resource!

Lastly, I wish you to pray for and assist SCV with our ability to better “hear the word of God and do it” (Luke 11:28). On behalf of SCV, I am asking you now to consider helping us with our on-going work. Grounding our efforts in prayer, we collaboratively and deliberately develop initiatives in education, dialogue and service, which strive to help the Church better be the Church for our time and context.

Of immediate need, is our desire to build on the impact of our previous two volumes of Encountering Women of Faith with the release of Volume III  in this new year! We ask for your help in our effort to distribute, market and launch this new book as well as nurture our ministry to the next level by kindly considering making a one-time or monthly sustained donation.

We humbly invite you to reflect on your concerns for the Church, both for today and for the future . . . and prayerfully consider our ministry! Prayerful support and financial assistance from our friends and extended spiritual family, will better enable us to attend to our commitment to “the building up of the Body of Christ” (Ephesians 4:12).  It is our joy to be of service in this manner!

Please consider making a contribution to Saint Catherine’s Vision by clicking HERE.

In advance, we extend our heart-felt thankfulness for your prayers, friendship and financial support!

With gratitude and appreciation, on behalf of Saint Catherine’s Vision,

    Presvytera Kyriaki
