Source: The National Herald BOSTON – His All-Holiness Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew departed for his headquarters at the Phanar of Constantinople on Sunday afternoon, November 7, with a direct Turkish Airlines flight. He arrived in Constantinople early on Monday morning November 8. The Patriarch was accompanied to the airport by Bishop Apostolos of Medeia due to the illness of Archbishop Elpidophoros, who remained on bed rest. Consul General of Greece Konstantinos Koutras and Consul Demetris Papageorgiou also accompanied the Patriarch to the airport.
